Surprise appearances from Hollywood darlings Jared Leto, Jeremy Pope and the plethora of models showing off head wear that stole the most gazes at the recent Love Parade fashion show.
Hollywood Boulevard temporarily closed for Alessandro Michele’s collection of both glamorous skin wear and equally spectacular headpieces for the House of Gucci that Tom Ford rebuilt.
Big names came out to support, from rising hit artist Billie Eilish to prominent campaign star Dakota Johnson. Check out the head-turners from their first live show after two years of virtual runways we Zoomed into from home. They are anything but plain.
Gucci Cowboy Hats

We’ve all bopped to Lil Nas X’s wrangler inspired hit single Old Town Road. In the chart-topping song, the break-through cultural rapper slash fashion icon slash Gucci fanatic sings, “My life is a movie/Bull riding and boobies/Cowboy hat from Gucci/Wrangler on my booty.” He showed us how to wear a cowboy hat.
Life is often said to be an imitation of art. And these black Gucci cowboy hats made their much-awaited appearance for the Spring/Summer 2022 collection of the fashion empire.

Mainstream Renaissance
Felt cowboy hats, though initially seen as a symbolism of the older western American brand, make their way back to mainstream renaissance whenever possible. Despite being featured in classic films The Searchers (1956) and The Undefeated (1969), they remain as posh as ever.
Michele horsed around with tricky colors, but he was still able to show a stylish range on the runway.

Jeremy Pope was dashing as he brought out the taupe light brown felt 10 gallon hat. It went along great with his care-free summer top paired with his brighter than the sun neon pants. Bunker those down with a heavy-looking leather trench coat and the look has never been so casual yet suave.

It will not be a Gucci runway show without having to bring out the crazies. We can’t help but notice how every Gucci cowman head piece aids in radiating that clean look to emphasize one’s facial features. Especially when showcasing some of the most out-of-this-world accessories – those nose jewelry, for example.
19th Century Rodeo Scene
Despite the long history of cowpokes dating way back to the 13th century, it wasn’t until the 19th century when women entered the rodeo scene. A young Lucille Mulhall put the lady ranchers on the map, cementing her role as the first-ever cowgirl.
Flash forward to two centuries later and cowgirls have never been more abundant in number. And their inspiration to the world of fashion is also at an all-time high.

The brim-shaped hats are always pleasing to the eyes due to their simple elegance. The beige Gucci rancher hat ironically elevates one’s choice of a statement outfit.

Not to be outdone, the olive wide brim felt hat blows our minds away by holding its own uniqueness. Pair that with a dress that is neither boring nor overbearing, along with an ageless accessory around your neck. All we can say is — everything feels right in the world once again. Wait? Oh, you heard us. No? Okay.

The perfect connection between rancher hats and eye accessories is probably part of the allure of wearing both. This headwear’s flat crown style will not interfere should you want to notch up your game by sporting jubilantly tinted glasses to go along with a one-piece inner material draped over by a stylish coat. This is definitely one of the many impressive looks that caught our attention during the parade!
Influence and Creativity
As with everything Gucci, these bad boys do not come at a cheap price. These bad boys usually go for around $790 in the US. The unexplainable joy of mixing and matching to satisfy one’s itch for a strong fashion statement though is priceless. We’ll take it!

To us, there’s something fascinating about a posse of runway models. Each of them put a different spin on the striking accessory, putting their own flavor to make it work. It does not get any better than this.
The Hat Stops Here (Sadly)
Which of these featured outfits stood out for you?
Models strutted to Bjork hits All is Full of Love and Big Time Sensuality brought this timeless head accessory to a whole new dimension. Couple that with probably a hundred more minuscule reasons, and you’ll understand why we just love talking about anything and everything about hats!
Many stylish stars came out during this grandiose event, but the biggest attraction of the night was the Gucci cowboy hats.
